The film POVEDA
The jury of the International Catholic Film Festival, Mirabile Dictu, sponsored by the Pontifical Council for Culture, has chosen "Poveda" as best film of the 2016 edition. The awards were announced at a gala dinner on Thursday, June 23, at the Palazzo della Cancelleria, of the Holy See.
Mirabile Dictu, The International Catholic Film Festival, has nominated the Spanish film "Poveda" for best film award. The winners of the awards, considered the "Catholic Oscars," will be announced at the gala ceremony to be held on June 23 at the Palace of the Chancery of Rome.

On Saturday, April 23, the film POVEDA premiered in Hoyts La Reina Cinemas in Santiago de Chile. Francisca Feria Martin, Director of the Teresian Association in Chile, and Julio Pozo, of “Productora Aerópago,” presented the film to an audience who filled the movie theater. Chile was the first country to receive the educational activity of the Teresian Association outside Spain, in 1928.

At the general audience on Wednesday, April 13, in St. Peter’s Square, Maite Uribe, Pablo Moreno and Josemaría Muñoz had the opportunity to give a copy of the film POVEDA to Pope Francis. At the audience, the Pope commented on the Gospel passage on the "call of Matthew" (Matthew 9:9-13).
