You will probably have seen the television coverage of the Pope in Ireland, 25th - 26th august 2018. It was a beautiful occasion and one which touched the hearts of many. I will concentrate on the Festival of Families and the Papal Mass because that is what you have seen but this was the culmination of 3 previous days of superb lectures, workshops, exhibitions and faith based activities for teenagers and children, from all over the world. These were all held in a lively, exciting, atmosphere in the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), the largest venue for a gathering of this size in Dublin.
The Teresian School in Ireland is happy and proud that the drawing and a letter to Pope Francis written by one of its students was published in a book together with other contribution from all over the country. From Dublin only two entries were selected for the publication. Well done to Olivia!

During the 20th Lay Congress of the Philippines, held last October, in the diocese of Legazpi, the National Board of the Council of the Laity was renewed. Rosalinda Basas, member of the Teresian Association, was re-elected secretary.
For the first time, the First World Day of the Poor, instituted by Pope Francis on the XXXIII Sunday in Ordinary Time, will be celebrated on November 19. The message is titled: "Let us love, not with words but with deeds.”
