GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala.
Although the news on the eruption of the volcano in Guatemala seems to have extinguished the fire of the volcano, it is urgent to enliven our solidarity to collaborate in the reconstruction. The eruption left 112 fatalities, 55 wounded, more than 200 missing and 1.7 million people affected, according to official data.
"Invisible Heroes" is a documentary series broadcast on channel 2 (Spain) which, on December 30, dedicated a session to storiesof people in the Dominican Republic with the themes of empowerment of women and situations on the border with Haiti. The theme is led by Beatriz Gallart Bandín, coordinator of InteRed in that country.
Around the Christmas celebrations, the communities of Poveda Cultural Center in Campinas and Saint Pedro Poveda Community, from a parish in the city of Taquaritinga, (north of São Paulo State) got together.
The University/Research Group of the Teresian Association (TA) met in Granada from August 25-29 at Colegio Mayor Santafé. From the problem to opportunity," the Council for Culture of the Teresian Association organized a seminar of study and reflection, held at Padre Poveda “Colegio Mayor” in Madrid. NGO InteRed, the Castroverde Foundation, and the social area of The Teresian Association in Spain collaborated in the program.

HOLGUIN, Cuba. - Maite Uribe, President of the Teresian Association presented to the Bishop of Holguin a relic of St. Pedro Poveda expressing her desire that the charism inspired by God to the priest and martyr will become incarnated in the Diocese to generate life.
Addressing a group of Cuban laity of the Diocese of Holguín, the president of the Teresian Association, Maite Uribe Bilbao, invited the participants to live their baptismal responsibility in the midst of a changing society, stressing several important aspects in their formation.
