At the Multi-stakeholder hearing of the United Nation’s preparatory process for the global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration on July 26, Patricia Stockton, representative of the Teresian Association (TA) at the UN, presented a statement written by a group of young people who identify themselves as “dreamers and doers.” They gathered in Madrid for a project organized by EDIW (Education for an Interdependent World).

From August 31 to September 2, the Editorial Board of the Nuevamérica / Novamerica Magazine met in Santiago de Chile to evaluate some issues of the 2016 and 2017 editions and to plan for 2018.
On August 17, a few minutes after 5 pm, a van became a deadly weapon on Las Ramblas in Barcelona. At night, another attack attempt took place in Cambrils. Sixteen people died, in addition to several of those responsible, and more than a hundred were injured. Some are still in critical condition.
