According to the agreement, the creation of the PPC on July 28, 2000, the objectives are: “to promote the study of Pedro Poveda and his writings as well as research, teaching, and dissemination of the two main themes that sustained his life and mission: the priestly ministry in the Church and the dialogue between faith and contemporary culture.” The PPC started its activities in 2001.
The Directors, from the UPSA and the TA, respectively are: Dr. Gonzalo Tejerina, Dean of the School of Theology, and Dr. Cira Morano, Researcher at CSIC. On the side of the TA, the following are members of the Management Commission: Drs. Cira Morano, Consuelo Gámez, Mª Isabel Martínez Santamaría, Guadalupe Pedrero, Mª José Rivera and Teresa Sánchez Suñé.
The above-mentioned TA Commission carries out the day-to-day management of the Chair in Madrid. The activities of the PPC include: courses, conferences, publications, international relations, and networking.
